crypto project

photoshop project, cut and past together a bunch of pictures and either create a self portrait or a crazy cryptozoological animal or wonder cabinet type deal. i decided to go with the crypto animal, and then cut and paste some pictures to create the landscape. I threw his holiness, richard dean anderson, in there also because a composition really isn't a composition unless you have at least one macgyver reference. all the effects were pretty simple. for the aura around richard dean anderson created a circle, colored it in, used the blur tool, then threw a blur effect on it, and finally lowered the opacity. Pretty much same thing for the shadow of the creature, adjusted the color properties to get the black shadow, used the distort tool to size it down and warp it, then lowered the opacity. The creature itself could have used a little more attention to detail, but there was a serious lack of motivation on my part. the image accomplishes the goals of the project though, used 20 something separate images to create the collage effect of the image, and everything fits together pretty smoothly.
